Obituary of Kenneth Wynx Shelton

Kenneth Wynx Shelton was born September 26, 1952 in Springfield, TN and he passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Gallatin Health Care and Rehab at the age of 65.

Kenneth was the son of Robert Nathan and Lola Mae Pentecost Shelton. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jimmy Shelton and sister, Betty Rose Lee.

Survivors include son, Matt Shelton (Rachel) of Gallatin and granddaughter, Hannah Shelton; brother Robert Shelton, Jr. (Carol) of Gallatin; and sister Faye Johnson.  Other relatives and friends also survive.

Ken was an avid fan of baseball and coached Little League baseball from 1982 – 1987.  His favorite hobbies included camping and boating with friends.  He also was a butcher and meat manager at numerous grocery stores in Gallatin.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at First Baptist Church in Gallatin in the Connection Center on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Services will begin at 4 p.m. Pastor Travis will be officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to First Baptist Church in Gallatin, TN.
